Luso-japanese enterprise establishes a building material factory in Famalicão
The Portuguese enterprise Inor and the Japanese enterprise Sakata Manufacturing made a "joint-venture" agreement to establish a building material factory in Famalicão, as was told to the Lusa Agency by the president of Inor, António Costa.

Aside from the topic of the Public Work International Fair Concreta, which finished yesterday in Porto, the businessman said that the objective of the two shareholders of the new enterprise, Roofzip, is to start producing metallic coverages next June.

"There is not much time but we want to take advantage of the rapidity of the subscription of the deal and do not want to disappoint the expectations of the clients we were in contact with in the last few days", said to the Lusa Agency.

"The Galician market is into the aims of Roofzip due to its proximity to Portugal and the Moroccan market regarding the "great increasing" that has been actually witnessed", he said.

Roofzip will be chaired by the main responsible of Inor, enterprise that holds 51 percent of the "joint-venture", and is already looking for premises in the area of Famalicão, with around 1.000 square meters, but if they do not find it in the following weeks it will start in temporary facilities.

In the first stage of this investment, it is foreseeing the creation of 50 or 60 work stations, but, António Costa said that the aim is to "triplicate or quadruplicate" the production capacity in the next years and to reinforce the team.

For the first year there is a budget between five and six million euros, more than the invoicing of Inor last year.

Inor Ibérica is one of the main Portuguese manufacturers of metallic coverage, used in the construction of shopping centres and hypermarkets.

The deal signed between the two enterprises allowed the Japanese enterprise to accede to the Iberian market, and allowed Inor to accede to the Japanese technology in the manufacturing of metallic coverage.
